    One drawback...

...safe not big enough for laptop - not even for my notebook. I don't have a mini notebook but was kind of put off that the one I have couldn't fit in the safe. Also safe works with lock and key unlike NG that was safes with lock that YOU program.

What size laptops can the safes at NG fit up to? I will be there soon.

The electronic safes all have a key override, usually under a plate on the front, to allow access should you leave without leaving the safe open, forget the combo, the batteries fail, etc...so don't feel overconfident just cause you can put you own combo in!

Bring one in at a time with one through the office and the other through the bar area. Just do it, they don't give a shit what you do in YOUR room.

Very true about safes. There isn't a hotel room safe I have ever seen that couldn't be opened by the management.

I can't imagine to many laptop thefts. I leave mine sit right on the table or couch and the maids don't touch it. If I am going to be gone overnight I put it in my luggage in the dirty clothes bag and lock the luggage. I know it could be opened with a screwdriver but it would then be obvious.

I see plenty of people wearing Rolex's so I wouldn't get as worried about theft as some people do. It usually happens to people when they are doing something stupid like blind drunk on the beach at night

Thanks guys, reason I asked is cause the email I recieved from the hotel told me one girl at a time but I think they may just do that to prevent a frat party of sorts which I am not going too.

I just want a nice place to land if I'm bringing back double the fun in the night time or even day, ill scope out the scene if I book and plan my double entry.

If you're coming in at night with a deadly duo - you could probably get away with just slipping the night guard a tip - he usually sits oustide on the curb - or just inside the lobby doors...

...in the am have the girls leave one at a time when the mgmt and desk clerk(s) are on duty - at that point they don't where the girls are coming from.

It is amazing that for a little money how much security can do for you.

Worse case, Buy a buddy a beer to walk one of the girls in with him, once past the desk, she can join you and your girl.

Re: Chica Friendly: Terra Linda Resort

I stayed at Terra Linda a few weeks ago. I found it to be well managed, impeccably clean and relaxing. It is very quite around the pool and in the rooms. The pool is huge and they will serve food or beverages poolside. Yes, they are chica friendly!!!! I did see a few guys entering with 2 chicas, so I assume its OK. They do require the girl’s cedula, which is only for everyone protection.
I spoke at length with the 2 owners about their hotel and guest policies. They have no problems, whatsoever; about guest bring girls to their rooms or having a few drinks or dinner in the restaurant. However, they are trying to maintain a hotel in which non-mongers can feel comfortable too. (Hard to imagine going to Sosua and not mongering, but to each his own). Chicas are not allowed to wander unescorted around the property, hangout at the pool, bar, etc without a hotel guest with them. If a chica has an appointment with you they will call your room, check the pool and restaurant. If they can’t find you she is not allowed to stay. They are concerned with their guest’s comfort, not the chicas.
For me this atmosphere is more relaxing than the “monger hotels”. Trying to get through the “chica stables” next to the bar at NG can be a bit much. Being able to sit at the pool and not having a “hola baby” wake me up every 10 minutes is great too. Granted, this isn’t the hotel for everyone. If you want to open you door and grab a girl from, the “stable” this isn’t your place. If your planning bikini contests or drunkin nude pool parties at 2:00AM it probably won’t be allowed.
I had dinner in the restaurant a few nights. Food was good, service was “Dominican” and prices were reasonable. They were working on a BBQ grill next to the pool with a US chef at the controls.

Re: Chica Friendly: Terra Linda Resort

We just got back from the DR and our 4 night stay at Terra Linda (3/18-3/22). On our last night, while hanging out at the bar, we had a lengthy conversation with one of the managers there and it seems like they are moving in the right direction as far as making this a great place to stay while you're down there.

We didn't have any issues with chicas coming and going during the day and/or night. The manager told me that as long as you are respectful of the other guests, the hotel will not bother you as far as the number of chicas. He also stated that they are currently working on charging ISOC members a $55 rate (includes breakfast and taxes).

There were 4 of us in the group and we each had individual rooms scattered between the second and third floors of Building A. The rooms were nice and clean......great shower!......any minor issues that came up (light bulbs, AC problems, etc) were attended to immediately by the front desk personnel.

Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely choose to stay here the next time we head down! Let me know if anyone has any specific questions or concerns about this hotel......

Re: Chica Friendly: Terra Linda Resort

Stayed in Terra Linda for three nights in Feb after my flight home got cancelled because of the blizzard. I like the fact that it's practically brand new. Both the rooms and the grounds were very nice. And even though it's right around the corner from all of the action, there isn't a problem with noise.

And the food at the restaurant was very good. Didn't have the breakfast. But lunch and dinner were great. You have to try the seafood paella. It's great. And they give you enough for 3 people.

Security is good there. Never brought home more than one chica. But was never given any problems about any of the ones I did bring back.

My only gripe was that the water never got hotter than luke warm, and the wifi signal was so weak that it might as well not have existed.

I like the place and would stay there again.

Re: Chica Friendly: Terra Linda Resort

Terra linda has a different menu for the free breakfast than the regular menu where as Alfred you can order anything off menu.I do like the big French toast breakfast at New Garden.WIFI I had some problems at times at New Garden but none in the morning when I brought my laptop down to resteraunt for breakfast.New Garden and Terra linda both have sufficient plugs for your laptop to recharge in resteraunt. I had awesome signal at Terra linda in my room but probably varies where you are in Hotel.

Like I have said before you can't go wrong staying at either one.

Terra Linda is not too food for the African American brothers to stay. Too many rules going on during the stay so the brothers don't feel too comfortable there. I am here now for just 1 night. Making the best of it but I have had a few conversations with them today about the issues . Also some items were taken from a guys room here money and chain. For me I would stay at ng or try seabreeze next visit.
